In my opinion, xtranormal is a program that, while interesting in concept, it is executed rather poorly. The language used by the characters is often limited and extremely unrealistic. There were numerous occasions were the characters voice would skip around, rise in pitch, mispronounce a rather easy to say word like "very" and lag to the extreme. All of these drawbacks are not alleviated in the least by the apparent lack of free options. The only free format you can base your xtranormal off of features characters that are not a far cry from stick figures who's motions and language aptitude are akin to those of an action figure. All in all, I see little actual use for xtranormal in terms of education, social or experimental use.
